Page 6: WordPress has no Database tools

WordPress stores all of it’s data in a mySQL database for blog, and that database is accessed up to 20 times every time views one of your web pages. Everytime you update or delete anything in your blog “holes” are created in your database (called “overhead”) that aren’t automatically repaired. In addition, unless you manually perform one yourself, there are no automatic backups of your database at all. WordPress doesn’t have these features by default, but there are few great plugins that will allows you to automatically backup and maintain your database from with your WordPress dashboard.
