Passion is one great force that unleashes creativity, because if you’re passionate about something, then you’re more willing to take risks.
Yo-Yo Ma

I truly believe that passion is something that transcends work. It’s the bar that separates those that do their work, and those that do outstanding work every time.

Technology has consumed my life as long as I can remember. I have always been curious enough to learn how things work. My grandmother let me tear apart a clock in grade school. I ripped it down to the smallest pieces I could tear apart. My father taught me programming in basic in middle school, because I wanted to learn how the programs worked. When the commercial Internet came in 1995, I wanted to know what was behind all of those web pages.

I am an extremely passionate when it comes to digital marketing. The Internet has leveled the playing the field for everyone. Anyone can publish. Anyone can promote. Anyone can build an audience and following. Anyone can build a business online with only an idea and almost no money. But why isn’t everyone successful?

What sets me apart is the amount of time I have devoted to becoming an expert in all aspects of digital strategy and web development. My need to understand “how things work” has led to years of work experience in content management systems, SEO, analytics, WordPress, content marketing, project management, as well as building and leading teams of people to get this work done. I’ve done it for thousands of small businesses, but also within the Enterprise for some of the most iconic brands such as Ford and La-Z-Boy.

As for why everyone isn’t successful online, I usually find it’s because of lack of knowledge and experience. Not of the team as a whole, but perhaps at the planning and execution stage. The customer, the client, the stakeholder – they don’t know what they don’t know. The most important part of my job has always been that of technology translator and trusted advisor. I’m the one that has to say “this is what you need, this is what you don’t need.” I create a scope, write the plan, and set the budget. I delegate the work to a competent team of professionals, while explaining and managing the risks as we go to all. Your success or failure is largely dependent on the person managing the project.

A digital or web project can originate or be led by various people or groups within a company. I’ve had to work with and for business people, IT departments, marketing, human resources, and with supervisors, managers, teachers, trainers, and even CEO’s and business owners. With that experience, fortunately (for me) I speak the language of and are aware of the needs of all of those roles. I can help you manage and successfully deliver nearly any new or existing digital project.

I’m always happy to discuss your needs with you, and see if I can help you find a solution.
