Really awesome post JT. My site was attacked by a keyword injection hack. Will using above plugins help me and keeps me secure from future attacks?

Thanks JT for the info on these plugins I have tried a couple of them with great success. But I highly recommend AntiSpamBee it has been doing wonders for me. And no I have nothing to do with this plugin it just works I promise.

JT; Just wanted to express my appreciation for all of the tips and suggestions in your blog. The one above opened my eyes as wide as saucers! I installed the firewall and the version fake files on every Wordpress site that I have. I tested the firewall and it works great. Thanks JT for the helpful article. I have been using WordPress Firewall for many months and it’s one of the best security plugins out there.

I’ve never used TripWire but will test it now. I think it is similar to WordPress File Monitor. But alot of these plugins will not work once your WordPress gets hacked. Plugin like WP Antivirus, Login Lockdown and others.

I think we need a simple alert script with cron setup that is outside of WordPress framework. So I WordPress gets hacked or goes down, the little script will alert us the problem.
