This post really got me thinking! I have been using the same password for just about everything on the net, saves having to remember lots of differet ones. So as you say if someone hacked into one of my accounts they could steal everything from me. Time to do something about it I think.

Nice article! I've also written a similar article on my blog. I think the idea is simple -- you'll just have to be vigilant and aware about security. You're right about saying that some people do not really care about security simply because they have not experienced being hacked. I hope your article will make them realize that the threat is real.

Wow! What a post! Awesome!
You had so much good info in there I had to read it twice to get it all to sink in. I am going to become a regular reader here, I have a lot to learn from you.
I am relatively new to the whole internet Wordpress website affiliate scene. I never even gave security a thought before now. You are right, I need to change my passwords and make them all different. Then, change them regularly.
Those are terrific questions to ask before choosing a host and something I have never seen taught anywhere else. It just stands to reason that we should take the time to secure these sites we work so hard on, that is our jobs.
Thank you!

Good stuff. I'd have to agree with you on Hostgator's awareness of security issues, although they did let me down once when they changed my dedicated server's PHP include properties - I suppose that can happen anywhere.

Have you found any sites hosted with Servage to rank well on the European results?
