The Exclude Pages from Navigation Reloaded plugin allows you to exclude a page from your navigation menu. The page is still published an available to anyone that has the URL – and you can still link to it from within your website as well in a manually added link.

Potential Uses

  • Private page without password: Need a private page for multiple people but don’t want to have to set, update, or give out a password? Using this to remove from public menus would be great (just realize the page can get indexed in search engines)
  • Pages you need, but don’t need visible: Maybe you have a warranty or RMA submission page – but don’t want it actually in your navigation menus? Publish the page, exclude it from your navigation, and quietly manually link to it in content or only give the URL to users who need it via another method (phone/email)
  • Landing pages: Need to create landing pages for Adwords, but don’t want them in your navigation? Exclude them from the navigation with this plugin

This plugin has no setting page on your WP dashboard. Once installed this is how it appears on the edit screen of both pages and custom post types on the right sidebar under the publish area:

exclude pages

Just uncheck the box and publish or update the page to exclude it from menus.

*Important to Note*: If you manually add links or WP 3.0+ menus this plugin will not exclude pages from them (you’ll have to manually remove them).
