It’s Great to Be Home

Being a reader of John’s “Blogging Mistakes” blog, I’ve grown to trust that his ‘Blogging Mistakes’ actually translates into real-world experience. Experience I just don’t have yet.

I’m not exactly a Wordpress noob, but I’m also smart enough to know when I’m likely to need some help. I had been putting off a very important Wordpress upgrade becaue of the numerous horror stories I was reading online from others who had attempted it. So, I contacted John, explained what I wanted to do and he quickly put together a plan for me of the steps he would take to go from point A to point B. I appreciated this because a lot of work goes into a person’s blog, and I think John understands the apprehension of letting someone else ‘under the hood’. He has a plan and he shares it with you.

The scheduled day came and John did exactly what he told me he would do – probably even more than I had asked. He paid careful attention to detail, and as I mentioned before his experience allows him to work through problems that would have probably left me in pieces on the floor had I attempted this job.

In the end, the upgrade went well, and my site is now better than ever!

In conclusion, if you have some work to do on your Wordpress site that you don’t trust yourself to do, hire John. He’s a man of his word, does great work, trustworthy, a really nice guy, and ultimately he made my life a lot easier. I would hire John again without hesitation!

I wanted to set up an affiliate site to promote unique baby gifts and had heard good things about Datafeedr. I decided to give the service a try, but was not familiar with using Datafeedr (which is a bit complex) or blogging software (WordPress is required to use Datafeedr). After doing a bit of research I came across John’s blog. I contacted John to inquire about

Doing as you had suggested, like submitting a sitemap was the key. Seriously, just a few days after submitting I started bringing in almost 100 more uniques per day from MSN/LIVE alone.

Funny, getting indexed in Google never required any additional actions. But now I know not to mess around and immediately submit my sitemap from now forward.
