there's a bunch of free plugins for Amazon that will put products after content in posts and pages. I would try one of those first.

While the monthly fee isn't the easiest thing to swallow, this looks like it may FINALLY solve me aff store nightmares. One question: There are many vendors in my niche and I will have no problem finding the datafeeds with the networks (I'm already approved by most of the merchants I need); however, Amazon remains a very good, often lower price source of some items.

Ideally, I'd like to have store pages that have the same look coming from datafeedr as well as amazon. The Astore doesn't have the aesthetic appeal, nor does it format well into WP (esp.on Firefox). Do you have a suggestion for store pages that would accommodate both network merchants using datafeedr and pages with amazon products?

Thanks again for the great information!

Thanks for the reply JT..

Another concern of mine was duplicate content, you mentioned removing the store URL In the google XML Sitemap plugin, I had a look at the plugin but cannot for the life of me find an area where I could remove specific sets of pages..?

@David Dwight: You're right for sure about that. I've used a lot of datafeed products as well, and the thing I like most about datafeedr is the fact that it handles that wonderfully. Datafeedr gets the feeds on a regular basis (weekly?). Once you have the service, you have the ability to update your store as often as you like in the datafeedr members area and import it into Wordpress. Let's say you create a gadgets store. Then 30 days later, you just login to datafeedr and download the latest file for your store. Import it into Wordpress, and any products which are no longer valide are removed, and any products that are new are added. That's why datafeedr is worth the monthly fee - it takes all the hassle out of managing datafeeds for an affiliate store - including obsolete products.

I have nothing but good things to say about Datafeedr, the time it saves me is unbelievable. No need to program, hire a programmer, or touch data feeds to set up your stores. Really a great tool.

Amazon isn't on there because they have an API and not a datafeed. Datafeedr specializes in stores that have a datafeed. Yes - I'm an an affiliate for datafeedr, I believe I state that in one or more of the posts, and on my Disclosure page. My affiliate commissions are how I justify the hours I spend on this blog - but my reviews are honest. If the product is crap I say that. I can't speak on affiliate blog builder - I've yet to use it.

You really are a breath of fresh air in this sea of knowledge we are swimming in. I'm new to all this also and it is overwhelming. I really believe what you said but have a question (or two). Why is amazon not one of the stores that datafeedr uses? Also are you an affiliate for datafeedr. Sorry i'm a conspiracy theorist at heart. It really doesn't matter i'm just curious. I also wondered what you think of affiliate blog builder? I have about a thousand more questions but should stop here. Thanks again for this resource that you have created.

Hi, JT...I've been glued to your blog for more than a week, and I am very glad that I found it. You appeared when I was looking for information about datafeeds for affiliate stores. Aside from the usual overwhelm, with all the advice that you offer, I appreciate your practical pointers. I expect and hope that you are getting a good piece of the action on my Datafeedr subscription. Thanks for the input. BTW, even though I am not a complete newbie, new software always presents new challenges. My formula, which almost applied exactly to learning and implementing Datafeedr, is that people who don't know what they are doing (me) take 30 times as long to figure out how to do something in comparison with people who do know what they are doing (you). Nevertheless, I finally have an affiliate store with a Datafeedr subscription and 877 products. Now to get to the meat of my expected success and start marketing this baby! (I had already taken your advice to put up a couple of posts before loading up the store.) I'll be taking a look at Wordtracker based to your advice on how to use it for article marketing. Thanks again, John.

All the best,
Dennis
