Why are the members of SEMPO reputable? All you have to do is pay the money and you’re a member – there’s no certification or anything. What does that prove?

The one, best reference is to see if they are members of the largest most reputable group of Search professionals, SEMPO (the Search Engine Marketing Professionals Organization. After a little over 7 months of blogging (part-time, because I have a day job), I thought I knew all about SEO. Yet, reading this post made me realize I have yet to learn a lot.

I am, for instance, not aware of the way a crawler inspects a page. And I am even more un-aware that one could make an HTML title for a crawler and another for the readers in the same page. I have also not really tried this All In ONe SEO plugin , although I’ve heard a lot about it, because I thought I could do the SEO manually. Well, I think I’d take another peep at this plugin. It just might make things even better for me. I’m saving this page in my ‘SEO tips’ folder.

@John M – I don’t have to calculate it – google gives you those numbers in the keyword research tool. First column is last month, second column is global avg per month. These are broad term matches of course, not exact match.
