I've never thought about this before, the more targeted the ads, the more likely they will contribute to the overall image and quality of your site. I currently earn an average of $5.00 per day and sometimes I earn just $1.00 a day. My ads are well placed according to Joel's directions. Everyday many of my article pages are tweeted and retweeted on twitter. Many of my pages are also bookmarked by social networking sites, yet I get merely 500 daily page views. Also I have about 40 subdomains with adsense on them, all are indexed by Google.
