This is the Guide we wish most of our clients had read before they hired us for web develoment or SEO. Nobody seems to tell you what to look for in a good web host, they only want you to sign up so they can make a referral commission without telling you how they really feel about how they were treated and quality of service. We will tell you what to look for, what to ask, and where to look for good web hosting when your online business grows and you don’t know what to do.
In the first installment I explain how your online business may be expanding faster than you realize you’ve outgrown your web host.
What exactly does a web host offer you for $3.99 per month? How can they afford to give you all that bandwidth and disk space for next to nothing?
When the largest web host in the world tries to cut costs and commonize everything as cheaply as possible you get the “McDonald’s of Web Hosting”. It may taste good and be cheap – but it’s no strip steak.
Every shared web host wants you to think that they offer the most features for the least amount of money. What they won’t tell you is that these accounts have limits that you will never know about – until your web site or blog starts to get get busy. It’s like having a car that goes 120mph, but the dealer doesn’t tell you that the tires start to fall off at 80!
