WAMU is a great bank and very easy to do business with. One of the questions I get asked alot is given how low interest rates are right now, where are some good places to put (save) money.

My idea is to pay off debt -- especially your mortgage -- with the
extra cash.

WAMU is an excellent bank to online-direct deposit your income from your internet business. They are very easy to deal online and excellent customer service and that is one of the benefits a blogger need to park his money.

The fact that JP Morgan & chase just took over WAMU give you more confidence that a well managed and well funded company (JP Morgan) is backing up WAMU is a sign that WAMU will stay in business for a very long time.

I just read this post today, September 25, 2008.
You may already know if you watched the news tonight, but WAMU has just been bailed out (bought) by JP Morgan & Chase for 1.9 billion. The stock in WAMU according to the FOX newscast has dropped to $.45/share from a high of $36.00/share. Apparently depositors need not worry about their accounts which is good news.
JP apparently will close down the head office in Seattle which is a shame.

@Vending Man - yes, a lot like ING Direct. I had forgotten about them, seems like they started advertising online banking a few years after WAMU...

I use ING Direct, great rates, easy to use. Sounds a lot like your WAMU account.

Usually bloggers tend to focus on journalism, SEO, affiliates, and coding when it comes to maintaining blogs. I think is a great detour from your recent posts because it a good reminder that there are more aspects to think about.

It's nice to read your blog because once in a while you open up my eyes to topics I never really thought about. Thank you!

P.S. Sweet! You installed SezWho!
