When visitors come to your site they either find what they want or they don’t. If they don’t a great deal of them go away, but many will search your blog first to see if they can find what they need that way before they leave. There are two reasons you need this information. The first is, if people are searching a lot for “wordpress” and finding your articles - that’s a pretty good indicator you need to write even more articles about wordpress. But if your top “not found” search was “blogger”, well - maybe you should consider writing some content about blogger (your already getting people looking for it at your site). The top “found” and “not found” searches are indicators for your future posts and content. There’s only one plugin that I know of that does this in Wordpress - and that’s Psychic Search.

You really hit the nail on the head with this post…or 20 nails…
The funny thing is that everything you talked about here - are all things that i use on every blog. The comment form, the 2 sitemaps, the search log, some kind of stats, super cache, etc.
I’ve often wondered why a lot of these things don’t get built in.
Looks like the feed notations on commentluv didn’t work. delete the other one please.

Great resource you have compiled here. I think most people are aware of about half of these problems and the plugins to fix them, but this lays it all out.
