I never even heard of Googlepages. I would use it but apparently they are accepting new signups until later this year when they relaunch it as Google Sites. Build up some backlinks for the site and wait at least a few weeks before linking out. Wordpress is known for watching blogs very closely for any sort of link farm-type activity.
